It has been a long road since I first met up with Chrishaun for coffee and to deliver my belated Christmas gift that I’d carved for her. That night, she offered me a gig writing within her world. That night, despite telling her that I wanted some time to think about the offer, I’d come up most of the outline for the series we’re now calling The Mantle.
The Mauers been hurt by the Hunt and want to distance themselves from that world. When their son leaves home for college, the world they tried to protect him from starts to seem like a closer reality than any of them would prefer.
